Mobile Recording Rig

We've been getting a lot of client requests for mobile recordings. We have a mobile rig, but we are currently expanding it to meet the demand! We cannot wait to get our hands on some of the new gear we just ordered for the live rig. We get to try it out at the Comedy Cabaret show on 02/26/2011 with Joe Bolster

Live DVD Release

We have been working on the tracks for the live DVD release for We The Kings. So far the tracks sound great and we cannot wait to see them in conjunction with the video footage. Tour manager, Scott Lawson has been in the studio with us all week working through the tracks.

Gearing up for Tour (Literally)...

We are getting ready to hit the road with We The Kings, Mayday Parade, Hey Monday, and Good Charlotte to name a few (over the next couple weeks). We are bringing out a fully digital recording rig to capture all the shows (to later be mixed at SPINCUS | STUDIOS).

We are stoked to be out. The holiday season should be a good time to get away and do some sound in the freezing cold!
 

Expanding the Studio

We have expanded the studio an additional 200 square feet. It should give us more capabilities for doing larger groups. It also will provide us the flexibility of tracking bands in a live setting with significant isolation!
 

What We've Been Up To

The past month or so has been a lot of tracking, mixing and mastering for Saint Bedes Teen Choir. The CD is almost complete. We have a few tweaks left and we'll be ready for replication. Go ahead a pick up a copy when it becomes available. As a measure of convenience for the church, we will be selling copies via the SPINCUS | STUDIOS store page.

Posted Videos

Many of you have told us that you have tried to watch some of the videos that we have 'posted' online. However, most of you were unable to do so... we understand the frustration. We actually put the names up on the site as place holders until we get all the videos converted. We will have plenty of videos to add soon!

Music For Yer Ears

We have posted some tunes that we recorded while out on tour as the FOH engineers for We The Kings. These recordings were done with two tracks taken from the main outs on the FOH console. Enjoy!

Tis' The Season To Be Touring...

We will be in Bradenton, FL on December 23rd with We The Kings playing a home town holiday show. In addition, we will be spending our New Years Eve amongst the guys in We The Kings and Good Charlotte in Grand Rapids, MI for a holiday show as well!

Website Overhaul

The site has received a pretty sweet facelift and we are extremely proud / happy with the accomplishment. Fresh Cut Web Solution has been a tremendous asset in developing / creating our website.

We have been buying more and more gear since we got back from tour! Something about live sound gets us in the mood to purchase instruments (guitars, amps/cabs, di boxes).

Homeward Bound

We have officially returned from tour after being on the road with We The Kings for several weeks.

The tour was great and we met a lot of fantastic people along the way. We will be posting pictures of our adventure along with some videos (poor quality Android phone videos, but videos nonetheless).

We have a busy couple months ahead of us. We are really looking forward to working with our upcoming studio artists/performers.

Site Renovations

New Video footage has been added to the media section under "Media > Video". We will continue to add more and more footage as the days go on. We have some older footage that we are dying to get up and showcased.

Sammy G! (In The Studio)

Sammy G was in the studio this afternoon laying some rough vocal tracks for a new tune surfacing in our media section currently. We are making progress toward embarking on a full production scale recording in the coming weeks. Check back for updates.

Site Construction / Studio Update

We are currently modifying the website to be easier to utilize. It will include updates to the forms, contacts, and calendar sections.

In addition, Jamie Stem from Sinch will be recording here on June 19-20th, stay tuned for the audio clips.

Hello Again..

The studio is back in full operation. I (Sean) have returned from a leave of absence due in part to personal issues related to my family.

In related news, the tour that our staff member was previously on has been extended. Our fellow spincus | studio member will be on the road with several artists in the Spring. We wish him the best!

The hours of the studio have changed and are posted in the appropriate section.

We are looking forward to working with some new artists in the coming weeks. "The Goodnight Anthem" will be recording here on March 20th.

We The Kings!

SPINCUS | STUDIOS will be temporarily closing due in part to some of our staff leaving for tour as FOH Engineers for "We The Kings" and "A Rocket To The Moon" on the Take Action Tour.

The tour ends in the middle of March. The studio is scheduled to re-open and be operational once we are fully staffed again.

Happy Holidays

New Toys!

We just picked up a Roland TD-20SX V-Pro Series Electronic Drum Kit. We are starting to nail down some great percussion tracks with it. It has been a great asset to the studio. We still enjoy the authentic feel and sound of an acoustic kit, but technology sure is a force to be reckoned with.

We are trying to add a PayPal booking deposit button over the next few weeks, as well as make the calendar a little more user-friendly.

Media & Marketing

In regards to the media, we are currently working on uploading some audio to the site. I hope to have new audio clips and maybe even some videos up by the end of the week.

As for the marketing, Applicant Apparel is designing us some business cards and flyers to start promoting the website and services to new/existing clients.
